Royalties
How much will you get paid for
your book? If your book is published by a traditional publisher, you
will be receiving anywhere from 1%-25% for each
book sold. That doesn't sound fair, especially considering that YOU did
the hard work of writing the book. At Saint Paul Press, you get more!
Sales that you
Make Personally:
You keep everything,
minus the printing costs.
For example: if your book retails
for 10.99, and printing costs $2.00, you will be paid
the entire $8.99.
Sales Made through Our
Distributors (All bookstore chains, such as Barnes & Noble,
Borders, and Family Christian, and independent stores)
For all books sold through our
distributors to bookstores, libraries, wholesalers, etc., authors
receive approx. 30% of the amount the distributor pays for the book.
For example: If your book
retails for 11.99. The distributor pays us 40% of the retail
price of $11.99, on average, which is $4.79. The author will
receive 30.3% ($1.45) royalty of what Saint Paul Press is paid by the
distributor. Saint Paul Press will receive: 69.7% ($3.34) of what the
distributor pays Saint Paul Press. The printing cost of the book is
taken out of Saint Paul Press’ percentage.
Sales Made through

pays for the book.
