FAQs
How long have you been in business?
Our owner and president has been in the publishing industry for over 25 years and
is responsible for the production and selling of thousands of books including several
bestsellers. The Saint Paul Press company was officially formed in 2007.
Why should I choose St. Paul Press?
At St. Paul Press we take your book from beginning to end at a price that you can
afford. Your book is always "in stock". We will never stop printing your title. Our
staff will take your fully-written manuscript or your outline and turn it into a book
for you. Our graphic design team will design two covers for you to choose from without
any extra cost. You keep all of the rights to your book and you don't have to order
a single copy of your book. On top of that, we make your books available to every
bookstore in the country (chains and independent) as well as to online retailers and
individuals.
Can I trust St. Paul Press?
The staff at St. Paul Press has over 65 years of combined experience in Christian
publishing. We are a reputable company that can do the job for you.

including Ingram Distributors, STL Distribution, Spring Arbor Distributors, and Amazon.com. Additionally, BCNN1.com (www.bcnn1.com) helps to promote our products to the urban community.
What kinds of books do you publish?
St. Paul Press publishes Christian books, and we reserve the right not to publish
any book. (Please read our statement of faith before submitting any title.) If a title
is submitted that is not in line with our statement of faith, we will reject it. We
publish books in many categories including: Christian living, self-help, poetry, children,
men, women, theology, church growth, fiction, and seasonal titles.
Do I get a chance to review the book before it goes
to press?
Yes, we send each client a printed, bound proof copy of their book before it goes
to press. Changes and corrections can be made after the first proof has been
sent free of charge, after that, charges will apply. We can also send you a copy
via e-mail in PDF format if you so desire.
How long does it take?
Generally, it takes about 60 days to get your book published and ready to order (45
days if you choose rush service). Once your book is approved by you and all corrections
and changes are made, your book will be available to order from Amazon.com within about
two weeks.
Do I get to keep the rights to my book?
Yes, you will be considered the publisher of the book and you will retain all copyrights
for the book. Our publishing services agreement allows you to take your book to another
publisher if you so desire. All we ask is that you let us know in writing, at least
30 days prior to moving the book to another publisher.
How many books do I have to purchase?
None. You are not obligated to purchase a single book to get published. There is no
minimum order. We print and ship books whenever you need them.
Will bookstores stock my book on their shelves?
It's up to each individual store as to whether or not they choose to stock your book.
But we do promise that your book will be available to order in all major bookstores
when their customers ask for it.
Will my book be listed with Amazon.com?
Yes. Once your book has been printed, your book will be available to order from Amazon.com
within one week.
What determines the retail price of my book?
The retail price of your book is determined by your book's page count. The retail
price is embedded in the bar code on the back of your book, so retailers will know
how to price your book.
How do I pay for copies I purchase?
We accept checks, money orders, and all major credit cards. Payment must be made when
your order is placed. Orders paid by check may take 7-10 days longer to process. We
prefer that all orders are made online.
Will my book have an ISBN?
Yes. Your book will be assigned the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) that
is required for every book so that sales can be tracked and so that bookstores and
retailers can search for your book and order it. Also, the Bookland/EAN bar code will
be placed on the back of your book. Without this barcode, bookstores can't order copies
of your book.
Who owns the copyright to my book?
You own the copyright to your book. However, we recommend that you register with the
U.S. Congress Copyright Office, which records your ownership of your work more formally
and they give you better recourse in case of infringement. You may handle this yourself.
Or, if you would like for St. Paul Press to handle this for you, we can do so for
a fee of $135.00
Do you publish books in full-color?
Yes. We can publish interior pages in full color.
Do you offer editorial services?
St. Paul Press does not offer editorial services, but we do use Fresh Eyes Proofreading
and Editing who has done great work for all of our authors. You may visit their
website at www.FreshEyesProofreadingandEditing.com.
